- How do we get started?
After we've confirmed that we are available on your date, we normally try to schedule a meeting so we
can get to know each other and talk about your wedding. If you are an out-of-state client, we can
arrange for a phone consultation.
- How can we reserve our date?
The studio requires 1. a signed contract and 2. a retainer to
reserve a date. You can do this easily and quickly through our
Book Online! program. Keep in mind that we
photograph and reserve only one wedding per day.
- When is the final balance due?
The final balance deadline is two weeks before the wedding date.
- What is your pricing and what kind of packages do you offer?
Please email us to view our complete pricelist. Packages start at $2,700 and include complete
day coverage. It's very important for us to give you the added peace of mind by not setting a
time limit or having to worry if we are going to leave after a certain time. In fact, we encourage
couples to plan as much time for pictures as possible. However, if you only need a limited number of
hours, we also have an a la carte structure if you would like to build a custom package to suit your
needs.
- Do your packages include a DVD?
Yes. It's very important for our clients to have a copy of their wedding photos. The DVD
includes High Resolution digital files, Medium Resolution digital files, and a Limited Copyright
Release. Keep in mind that it will also be the responsibility of the client to backup and archive the
files.
- What is a Limited Copyright Release?
A Limited Copyright Release grants the client permission to make prints, make enlargements, and use
the photos in personal projects like calendars, digital frames, desktop wallpapers, facebook, etc. The
client cannot, however, sell, publish, make a profit, or claim the files as his or her original
work.
- How many pictures do you take?
Since there is no limit, we take as many as possible. On average we take 2,000 or more during a typical
wedding and deliver 700-900 photos to the client.
- So I can make my own prints and get a DVD?
Yes. Every wedding package includes this.
- Do you offer individual digital downloads of the pictures?
Yes. We offer three different sizes: 1. SMALL (400x600px) 2. MEDIUM (600x900px) and
3. LARGE (1200x800px). Your guests can now order digital copies and use them to make their own prints
and enlargements. Not only that, but a digital file is so much more flexible than a print, and can be
used for facebook, digital frames, desktop wallpapers, put on a phone, etc. With a print, you just get
a print. You can see more details when ordering through the shopping cart, and best of all, the digital
downloads feature a very quick turn-around time and of course, free shipping as they are sent via
email.
- What kind of gear do you have?
We use high end Canon cameras and lenses. Combined with Canon's professional grade "L" lenses, we can
be sure to achieve the best results. We also carry backup equipment in case there's a malfunction.
More information about the gear we use can be found on our
Gear Page.
- Will Josef Samuel be the photographer?
Yes. Josef will be the primary photographer at your wedding. The work in this site, including
all the photography and web design, was created by Josef.
- Do you carry insurance?
Yes. Some venues require photographers to carry liability insurance and present them a COI
(Certificate of Insurance) when photographing on their premises. Josef Samuel will be more than happy
to provide your venue with a COI. We carry a $1,000,000 liability insurance policy through Hill & Usher
Insurance, LLC. as well as Property Insurance in case our gear gets stolen, soaked, dropped, burned,
etc. If your wedding is outside the United States, we also carry International Insurance.
- Do you have an assistant?
Depending the package, Josef may hire a second professional photographer.
- Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. All major credit cards are accepted through our secure website: Visa,
Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. We also accept payments via
Paypal, Google Checkout, and personal checks. For your convenience, we can also set up a payment
plan with no interest up to your wedding date.
- Is your website secure?
Yes. This website and our online shopping cart are secured through Secure Socket Layer
technology and we use Authorize.net as our security agent. You can shop with confidence
at our online store and online gallery.
- Is it true that I might get a good deal if I sign up for your newsletter?
We send out a newsletter randomly once or twice throughout the year and include the only
promo codes for our services that you'll find.
