SECTION 1: GETTING READY & PRE-CEREMONY

My wedding photography portfolio takes you from sample weddings start to finish, including the getting ready, the ceremony,
the bridal party portraits, the ceremony, and reception. This section covers the Getting Ready. At this stage, I focus on capturing candid moments and details like the wedding dress, shoes, and veil. If time allows, I also take portraits of the bride and groom before the ceremony starts.

The Ceremony

SECTION 2: CANDIDS & PHOTOS OF THE CEREMONY

This section covers wedding photos of the ceremony. I focus on a lot of candids and focus on capturing the walking down the aisle, the reaction of the groom, the vows from various angles, wide angles that show the venue, zoomed in shots of reactions, decor and details, candids of the guests, the first kiss, and more all while being subtle. I don’t use flashes and try to be as unobtrusive as possible.

The Bridal Party

SECTION 3: BRIDAL PARTY & COUPLE PORTRAITS AFTER THE CEREMONY

This section covers the Bridal Party photos. After the ceremony we’ll normally take family group photos and bridal party group photos. For the family groups, I focus on good group formation, lighting, and efficiency. For the bridal party photos, I focus on fun ideas, creating moments and capturing natural smiles. We’ll also do photos of the couple in various locations and try various poses and ideas.

The Reception

SECTION 4: DETAILS & CANDIDS OF THE RECEPTION

This section covers photos of the reception. Once we arrive to the reception location, my focus will be to capture details like the room, the cake, table settings, and decor that’s unique to the couple. Then I’ll capture candids of the guests, the introductions, the toasts & speeches, the first dances, cutting of the cake, and dancing. There are a lot of fun group photos that can be taken at this time as well!

1. What is your pricing for weddings & engagements?2022-01-03T21:06:06-05:00

Please visit the wedding information page for wedding photography pricing and details. Do you only need coverage for the ceremony? Perhaps just some portraits? We can start with 1 hour of coverage and work our way up to a full day of coverage. Engagement photo sessions are $300 and include up to 2 hours of photography coverage. There are no limits to locations or wardrobe changes! Please schedule a meeting with me so that we can go over the full pricelist information with you.

2. How can we reserve our date?2022-01-04T00:02:18-05:00

Weddings can now be conveniently booked online through the weddings page. To sum up, my studio would need the filled out wedding form and a retainer. Both can be done quickly online, super easy!

3. Do we get the high resolution files?2022-01-04T00:04:59-05:00

For every shoot, I provide the high resolution digital files via Dropbox, Google Drive, or Amazon Drive where they will be backed up in the cloud. If you can, please make a backup of the files when you receive them. Of course I also keep physical backups on my hard drives in case something happens. The files come without watermarks, symbols, or copyright text and are available to you for printing, posting on social media, and/or use for any personal project.

4. When is the wedding balance due?2021-03-16T21:29:54-04:00

After the retainer has been sent, the wedding date is reserved. Following that the wedding balance deadline is two weeks before the wedding date.

5. Do you have an assistant?2021-03-16T21:17:52-04:00

To be as inobtrusive as possible, I normally work without assistants. However, that could change if the client wishes to have a second photographer or a slideshow at the reception.

6. Have you photographed at the Notre Dame Basilica?2021-03-16T21:32:20-04:00

Yes. I’m very experienced at the Basilica and on campus. There are several rules at the Basilica and timing/punctuality is very important as there are multiple weddings at the Basilica during the weekends. So no worries! I can help guide, suggest ideas, and keep things moving along so everything is met according to the necessary timeframes. I have a lot of experience in this area!

7. Will Josef Samuel be the photographer?2021-03-16T21:18:17-04:00

Yes. I’ll be the primary photographer at your wedding :)

8. How many pictures do you take at weddings?2022-01-04T00:07:43-05:00

On a full day wedding event, I typically deliver 1000-1300 photos to the client. This is after narrowing it down and removing the blurry photos and blinkies. All photos are corrected for brightness, color temperature, cropping and straightening, sharpening, and other corrections.
